Los dos programas BRIT han preparado conjuntamente una jornada de celebración del día de Todos los Santos. El centro se ha decorado para la ocasión (trabajo realizado por La Voz del Élaios) y en la biblioteca se ha preparado un “rincón oscuro” dedicado a narrar historias y cuentos de terror en inglés y en francés. La celebración de la noche de difuntos permite conocer cómo cada cultura ha afrontado tradicionalmente el más allá y cómo se representa en nuestros días.
First and second of ESO students of English and French belonging to the BRIT, English Plus or the bilingual French programmes have been working together on the celebration of Halloween and La Toussaint in English- and French-speaking countries. In order to do that, first they did some research to decorate and transform our hall and our library at Élaios High School. Second, and most important, they “dared” both to perform and read horror stories (in French and English) in the spooky “dark corner” of our library on 31st October. The analysis of both festivals (Halloween and La Toussaint) shows how the French and the Anglo-Saxon culture have faced Death itself and the ways to link pagan traditions with religion in the present-day world.
Les élèves des deux programmes BRIT (anglais, 1ère année et français, 2ème année) et les élèves du programme English Plus ont préparé ensemble une activité pour fêter Halloween et connaître la tradition de la Toussaint en France.
L’équipe de La Voz del Élaios , journal en ligne de notre lycée a décoré le hall et à la Bibliothèque nous avons créé un « coin lecture halloween »où nos élèves ont raconté des histoires qui font peur en anglais et en français.
Ces activités ont servi à montrer comment chaque pays a interprété cette fête et en France la Toussaint et Halloween sont donc deux fêtes bien distinctes.
La Toussaint est une fête traditionnelle et religieuse d’hommage aux défunts alors qu’Halloween est une fête celte.
